Uber launches ‘Bring Uber to New York State’ petition

After many talks and an increasing dissatisfaction with the current state of the taxi service in Upstate New York, Uber has created an online petition where one can add their name to show support to bring Uber to New York State. The petition launched earlier today with a goal of 25000 signatures, and is over half way there already.

As someone who reluctantly uses the taxis that operate in Albany I can state with complete sincerity that the cabs here are often dirty, charge multiple parties full fare for a shared ride, are late or don’t show up at all, and worst of all, without a rating system for drivers (and passengers) there is no incentive for drivers (and passengers) to provide a good experience.

I will definitely be signing the petition and hope you do too.
