Saturday: ASAP’s Annual Fall Ball
This Saturday, November 9th, the Albany Society for the Advancement of Philanthropy will be hosting its annual Fall Ball at La Serre.
This year’s celebration marks ASAP’s tenth year of doing good in Albany. For those of you unfamiliar, the Albany Society for the Advancement of Philanthropy is a non-profit organization with the express purpose of encouraging others to do well by their fellow man. The society (ASAP for short) was founded in August of 2004 by nine young professionals, and has since grown to over 50 members, with its second chapter recently started in Northampton, MA.
ASAP was started as a way to give back to the Albany area in a way that was enjoyable for all involved; to encourage philanthropy and have a good time while doing so. As the ASAP logo famously states, members are asked only to “relax and encourage. This motto captures the ASAP ideal: that it is possible to do well by your fellow man while having a good time.
You can learn more about ASAP and what they do over on their website and also purchase ticket’s to Saturday’s annual gala via Eventbrite.
