Albany-based hardcore band Drug Church on NPR’s All Songs Considered
Local dudes Drug Church have a song off their upcoming full length record on NPR’s All Songs Considered segment. They’ve been picked alongside Zola Jesus, Sigur Ros, Ebony Bones and Jon Hopkins. Pretty decent company, eh?
The copy from NPR on this is too great not repost:
The five guys in Drug Church describe their sound as “music you can pushpit and stagedive to, so you can forget for a moment that you have eczema and work at Pizza Hut.”
Head to NPR and scroll down a bit to launch their music player and give the tune a listen (the Ebony Bones juke track they’ve got in there is pretty awesome too). Pretty rad to see a new-ish band consisting of dudes I know getting tagged by NPR on facebook. If you like the song, you can check out the record release show August 2nd at Valentine’s, or pre-order the record if you’re not the type to leave the house.
