‘So to Speak’ opening at the Arts Center
Friday January 25th for Troy Night Out, The Arts Center is presenting So To Speak.
From the copy:
[So to Speak is] an exhibition that creates an encounter between visual and verbal forms of representation. Each work in the exhibition weighs the difference between these two forms of expression, reflecting on the faults, slippages, and tensions that arise when representing images with words.
So to Speak features the work of Leona Christie, Paula Gaetano Adi, Hollis Frampton, Melinda McDaniel, Fernando Orellana, and Klub Zwei, several of which are living and working in the Capital District. The exhibit runs January 25th through March 29th. TNO is an awesome way to spend the earlier part of your Friday night and this exhibit alone is going to be worth it! Plus, you can hit up the Confectionery before and after checking out all the art.
