Swissted at the Arts Center

The Arts Center has an amazing gallery opening tonight which includes a reception and book signing by the artist, Mike Joyce.

From the copy:

Swissted is an ongoing project by graphic designer Mike Joyce, owner of Stereotype Design in New York City. Drawing from his love of punk rock and Swiss modernism, two movements that have almost nothing to do with one another, Mike has redesigned vintage punk, hardcore, new wave, goth, grunge, and indie rock show flyers into International Typographic Style posters. Each design is set in lowercase Berthold Akzidenz-Grotesk medium. Every single one of the shows represented actually happened. Joyce was born in Troy, New York.

Books and prints are available for purchase and Swissted will be on display until April 21st. Tonight’s book signing starts at 6:30pm. More info on The Arts Center website.
