Police find sawed off shot gun in teen's backpack at Crossgates
GUILDERLAND - Marcelle Chandler, 16-years-old, of 424 Elk St Albany was arrested by the Guilderland Police department on April 15 at 1:40pm.
Chandler was apprehended by Macys security after taking two Polo shirts and concealing them in a shopping bag. Chandler was found to be in possession of a loaded sawed off shot gun. Chandler had the weapon concealed in his back pack and he did not make any threats towards anyone with it.
Chandler was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon which is a Class D Felony as well as Petit Larceny which is a Class A Misdemeanor.
Chandler was arraigned and transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility.
