Police searching for missing Clifton Park girl, 14, Rensselaer boy, 15; pair driving stolen car, possibly headed south Updated: 3:15
BALLSTON SPA — Police are still on the look-out for a 14-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy who stole a parent’s car Tuesday morning at around 2 a.m.
Chiara Mi. Lisi of Clifton Park and her boyfriend Aaron Cadman of Brunswick left in the middle of the night in Cadman’s father’s 2004 Lexus.
Rensselaer and Saratoga county sheriffs are investigating the disappearances and have put the vehicle’s information out to police stations nationally. “We’re exhausting every resource,” said Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Jackie Fiore. “They had a 15 to 18 hour head start on us—so we put alerts out in every direction.”
Initial reports indicated that Cadman may have been in possession of a handgun, but Fiore said that was a rumor. “There is no information that they have taken a handgun,” she said. Fiore said there was a picture of Cadman somewhere—potentially on Facebook—of Cadman with a “BB gun of some type,” but she said there was no information that they have that with them.
“Their safety is the number one issue,” Fiore said.
According to Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Rick Washburn Tuesday, the pair are likely headed south through New Jersey, possibly with the intention of heading to southern states. A description of Lisi, Cadman and their vehicle has been circulated to police in several states, officials said.
"They took clothing from their houses that indicated they were headed toward warmer weather," Washburn said. He added that they do not appear to have any connections to anyone in a southern state.
He said there is no indication that Lisi and Cadman are involved in any type of drug or other illegal activity, or that Cadman is a danger to himself, Lisi or others.
"They both come from very good families," he said.
The vehicle they are driving is a gold 2004 Lexus 330 with the New York license plate DYH-1953. Continued...
Lisi is described as a white female with red hair and green eyes. She is 5-feet 1-inch tall and weighs 110.

Not everyone is on Facebook, where he supposedly has a picture of himself with maybe a BB gun. "

'they come from good families' - is somewhat doubtful. I mean, you have to be pretty desperate to steal your parents car, take a girl with you and run off at 15 with almost 0% chance of getting far. "
