Tulip Fest 2011 Line Up Announced

Calling all bros…. stay home.

Albany today announced the Tulip Fest lineup, and with it the new alcohol policies in the wake of all things drunk around here lately.

For the lineup and more, read on.

THE “ACTS”:

Cold War Kids – best known for their hit “Hang Me Up To Dry”, CWK’s have mostly been hung up to dry since their 2006 break-through. We’ll take it though.

Sam Roberts Band – With songs including “Fixed to Ruin”, “Them Kids”, and “I Feel You”, it seems like these Canadian indie-rockers might relate to Albany bros. Brolate.

Blotto – A pretty lame 80’s band that was the Cap Region’s claim to fame before Phantogram. Give it up dudes, WEQX should have picked the latter.

Dan Mangan – Another Canadian indie-rock folk singer. Eh?

THE “RULES”:

No outside alcohol.
No open containers.
No inciting riots with bagpipes.
Wristband, ID, beer-designated areas.

Mayor Jerry Jennings, who has been bronzing all winter in anticipation of taking the stage next month, is so excite.

District Attorney David Soares, who was mad at Tulip Fest drunk-drivers and Kegs and Eggs bros, is still mad.
